Everybody lives in a movie.
Watched another movie today, two as a matter of fact. The first one, was another one of those young urban person knows how to sing or dance , but against insurmountable odds and thru incredible diligence and talent and strife and the liberal dash of bullshit, not to mention the sprinkling of moral questioning about whether to sell out or not, ... and the long lost relationship with (insert family member here), being renewed thru mutual interest in said talent. Everyone ended up happy and rich.
I can happily say that this sort've thing happens every day. In the movies. Don't give up .. blah blah blah.
I digress. The thing that i did want to type about though, was that no matter how crappy your surroundings, there's something cool enuough about them for hollywood to make a scene in a cheesy movie out of it.
Whether its's in the country, sunset at the river, frogs, fishing little irridecsent bugs and mabye a sail boat or old row boat and a leaning tree. Gotta have a dock or gazebo somewhere.
Or, pehaps the city cobble stone exposed brick , wrought iron, steps to the historical brownstone, The curb side deli is always a nice touch, and you cant leave out the late night rooftop coversation. You know, the clangy fire door, the painted over sky light, gravel and tar, the broken brick, and and a bottle of what ever.
Then there's suburbia, swingin porch seats train tracks, tree lined streets, more bugs , can't leave out the dog or cat and a seventies half finished hot rod or station wagon or pick-up.
Then one o' my favorites, The Seaside community, light pastels, straw umbrellas, bikinis, surf, sand sun, two cylinder motor cycles.
The key to any of these is no one has a problem with money or lack of . That's whether they have a crappy job or a good one, or no job. The writer always has some really (hack!) good reason how they have all the time in the world and night clubs arent allowed to get so crowded that you cant move without hurting someone. No one needs to yell, There is no line and the bartender always see's you, even if you don't have a roll of money or a great rack.
My point is, the next time you wanna leave to that great place youve never been just go out side or to the deli or to the park, and close the scope for a great light and angle and you might find you're already there. Money or not.
That's the short of it on that thought . Thanks for readin my stuff :)
