Tis the season for politics again!

This is a letter to a new friend that was an attempt to quickly(lol), explain my political principals.
I feel like sharing some parts of a conversation I had with a friend. As far as the libertarian philosophy goes, sir Francis Bacon put it simply. " The right to throw your fist falls short of the next man´s nose." I take it as this, "do what you like , don't hurt anyone." When it comes to government, Let me take my own responsibilities." I'll be damned if someone else gets to tell me how to live or how much i have to give to help others. I choose my charities. In and out. I don´t have a right to your money and the government doesn't have a right to tell you to help me. Most "conservatives" feel that way. It's not that we're greedy we just would like to choose when and how much we're going to help our fellow man. "the right to choose, The responsibility to accept the consequences." The republican party used to be about that they failed in the congress, and bush lied to us but not the way most people say. They spent more money in pork in the last ten years than in the combined history of our government. Bush sold us out to global government UN , NAFTA, but so did Clinton, and Reagan. We don´t need the government in our mail, phones and cars and computers. We ARE giving up our liberties for security. I believe that the democratic party wants to take us to a global big brother by way of socialism. and the republican party wants to take us to the same place by facism. "what kind of cancer would you like?, brain or heart? ".The republican party was hijacked by religious zealots. the democratic party was taken by socialists. These are just my feelings but not necessarily those of the party I chose. I believe in my freedom of religion and fiscal responsibility and my personal security. I believe the majority of us are smart enough to fix our own lives if the option of assistance is removed most people figure it out for themselves. I have helped MANY people but I felt good about it because it was MY CHOICE. I hope this puts alight on some of the questions you might have. There are a lot of specifics we could talk about ask away.
