 The term "LIBERAL":
I have grown to abhor the way pundits on the right have used it as a negative synonym title for socialists and far left wing nuts. I AM A LIBERAL. A Liberal believes in LIBERTY and freedom of expression and human rights and property rights and upholding the individual rights stated in the constitution. YOU are a Liberal. Americans are Liberal. The spectrum has gone full circle. It's time to come back to a point where we all realize that most DEM's don't want anymore overwhelming corrupt governmenatal control than GOP's and that the hateful labeling and accusations are being used against us to weaken the poulaces resolve to vote for candidates that genuinely want to help this country but can't get a vote because of labeling and party based stereotyping. It's no longer about DEM's V. GOP's. It's about The citizenry of the country against the cronyism in the capital that spoon feeds us this shit that it's "the other side's" fault.

Fuck Sean Hannity. Fuck the fatso with the golden microphone. We are NOT a THEOCRACY!!!! We are a country that is PROUD of our ability to absorb every culture and religion that has found it's way into our society, and sit next to them and drink a tea or a coffee and not shoot them in the face for not choosing cream over milk. It's Not too late , but it's about goddamned time, that we stop trying to force our personal ideologies on everyone else around us. If your ideology is bitchin, then LIVE IT AS AN EXAMPLE and people will see how happy and productive you are and come to you. If you need to force your morals and beliefs and convictions on others with laws and fines and taxes and punishments, then it only weakens your argument.
People LOVE bacon. People LOVE boobs and ass. People LOVE fast good looking vehicles. People LOVE nature. And yes of course there will be people that LOVE controling those around them and removing the personal freedoms of everyone around them. That's human nature. They will always be there. But, JUST DON'T BE ONE OF THEM.
You're going to say, " I'm not". You're going to say, "I agree with most of what you just said" ,... and I am going to interrupt you right there and say, THEN YOU ARE A FUCKING LIBERAL!
You're welcome.

Things I need to remember:

Simple is rarely easy.
Be careful not to become what you hate.
Be The Change You want from this World.
You can argue or judge without malice. No, really.
When discussing with a person that has an opposing view, you can listen with out having to try to convince them of your view. I've tested this, it's true.
You're not as capable of spontaneous violence as you would like to think you are, and odds are,... you're not even close to being as violent as the asshole that you speak as with those memes. So just stop. If you can't , then use qualifiers.
If the world were to be run by your standards You'd probably have been indoctrinated/imprisoned/executed years ago.
Have a small dessert and a drink.
The opposing political party has more principals and ideals and goals in common with you and yours than it has conflicting ones.
You don't have to always be grateful , you can simply be Glad.
Recognize when you should be grateful. That person may not be home the next time you run out of toilet paper.
If you can make the payments, you can save for it.
Put down the remote/ phone,... pick up that damned book.
Smile.
Park further away.
You like rain.
Your kids have gotten in less trouble and have earned better grades than you ever did.
Come to a complete stop.
People in magazines don't look like that.
Kerouac was a lucky pussy and P.J. O'rourke's parents were both dead when he was way young.
Aim for a lifestyle instead of goals.
You're at least half as cool as some people say you are. No, not the one in the mirror. Don't be absurd.
Yes it would be cool to be a King, Probably not likely to happen. Much easier to be happy as a man.
When you can't sleep , try harder.
Smile.

Castles

Thanksgiving will end before I finish this entry.
I was watching Harry Potter movies this evening and and while I did, I noticed and admired Hogwart's as if it were a real castle. I absolutely love castles and mansions. I've been thinking about them more lately  since I found a few FB pages that address them. But while I admire them I critique them as if someday I could actually have one for my self. At the time I'm writing this I feel as if I don't really care much where mine would sit. What is more important to me is what it is built with. Stone. Stone or brick, but definitely the more preferred would be stone. And while I think about that I want as little modern composite materials for the interior as possible. I've thought a few times how one might put in the electricity and the plumbing in a stone building and I'm sure the people who do that sort of thing have figured it out. The finished interior is what concerns me. The stairs the cupboards the doors the door handles. the windows, the sills, the shelves, the floors.... all of it. No plastics no composite metals , no "plated" fixtures. Real wood. Real steel and copper and brass and iron and bronze and such. Timeless. Hand carved elaborations.
I mean, if you're gonna dream,.. hell, dream all of it. Many rooms , many bathrooms, multiple kitchens. And you must have secret passages right? And a library and a den , and a smoking/reading room. And a sun room. A vast dining hall and a small breakfast nook. Big slabs of polished stone everywhere. You've got to have a tower too, you just can't have a building like this with out a tower. Huge rugs. Big ropes hanging to do things. Everything just solid and a real piece of the artisans that built and place everything. If I could be responsible for a building like that.... well,.. That would be something.
And when it's all done, and I've passed away easily in a ginourmas bed with a nice glass of whisky on my stand and a book or three that I love sitting next to it, after years of being me and making people I care about and like happy, and doing some exciting things and going to a few exciting and beautiful places of course. Do what ever you like with my body parts . If there's any left that still work, give them to someone who can use them. But clean and preserve my skull. Put it on a mantle some where not too gaudy but not hidden. And put some decent teeth in the damned thing so I'm smiling. I want someone to pick me up and talk to me once in while,.. I just want to be there after I'm gone. Smiling.

Tonight's election results

GOP, You didn't lose tonight because of some socialist movement, you didn't lose because the country wants to go on the dole, you didn't lose because everybody wants to be "cool".
You lost because you didn't listen when Libertarian notioned members of your party told you to quit perpetuating the FIAT lie, you didn't listen,.. You lost because you believe that while you scream and shout for less government and personal freedom, you let the media and your chosen leaders tell you that what you NEED is more invasion and control in your personal lives and that pushing 1 specific batch of religious ideals should be pushed on everyone else.
IT IS THE ECONOMY but you let the religious right infiltrate a pure economical movement. Less government MEANS just that. You don't have the right to tell others to follow your religious beliefs. And by using socio-religious litmus tests for your candidates while our economy is burning on the water, is just overtly absurd and it gave the enemy the ammunition it needed and it alienated a substantial portion of yur electorate.
You lost because the leaders you chose in the past allowed crooked banks take advantage of uneconomical laws passed by the opposition "for the sake of the economy's growth" . And the opposition that wrote and passed those laws "in the interest of the poor and disadvantaged" point at your era where you had control and didn't stop what you KNEW was going to crash, because you didn't want the economy to drop while you were in control. Remember this?... "The most patriotic thing you can do right now is ...get out there and BUY things." Yeah, I remember too. You lost because you chose to put forth "face" that you didn't really believe in and ergo no-one in the middle did either. You picked a man based on believing the media that he was the best one "to beat the incumbent". We saw in 2004 that the "anybody but..." campaign doesn't work. So,... take a real hard look at your "personal freedom" platform, and look again at what you claim is your "fiscal responsibility" platform and come back in four years and BE Republican. NOT The religious, "if it makes money , it must be good for the economy", right. True Republicans are centrist by nature. The Libertarian party doesn't HAVE to exist or take your votes away. You can bring them into your fold by not projecting fanaticism and fear.
To the DEM, You didn't win a mandate, don't even try to kid yourself, and if you expect to win next time around, take a long look at who you're most likely to have for your candidate, The present VP. Yeah that's right, a rich, old, life long, politician who spews hate for the members of the opposition. Nice. BTW , pundits are pundits, they get paid to be controversial and rude. You don't you live among and work with and speak to the opposition every day and while their pundits may have said rude things through all this , THEY , your friends and family probably did not. And when you post on FB or Twitter, you're not being read by the people that pissed you off and said hurtful things about you or your candidate, you're being read by your life long friends that you have trusted and been through life's trials with. You might think of that while you enjoy the victory of your candidate.

Warning: exaggerated melodramatic whining.

Whats it cost???! who cares?!! It's utopia! No, really, who cares what it costs??? Stop worrying about the economic strength of our country in the future, all that matters is we shoved it up your ass and you'll learn how to like it. You'll get used to it , you've gotten used to everything else we've done to you , hell! A lot of you were born with it already instilled so you don't even know what it was like without it. So shut the fuck up about how it's an economically in-viable cinder block tied around the neck of a national economy that's on its 2nd time under. Just celebrate how we're all going to get all the health care we DESERVE , we wont have to be responsible for one more major aspect of our lives! Isn't that fantastic? We're going to be protected from the realities of living et al! anything that happens to us will be ok because our government is going to cure us all!
Quit looking at Greece, what socialist governmental methods have done for them and how that's now affecting the entire EU has nothing to do with us! We can do anything!!! This is so exciting! maybe now that this precedent has been set we can start making laws that really have an affect on society! Imagine ! Anything we don't like we can simply tax it!
Why, now that I think of it why don't we just tax cancer?!?! Or simply make it against the law to have cancer? Of course we'd have start out much more subtly, like say,... tax people for doing things that might lead to getting cancer like , putting gas in your car , or mowing the lawn or smoking or drinking? or say, athletes seem to get a lot of life long injuries, perhaps we should tax dangerous exercise or activities like mountain climbing or water ski-ing or skateboarding? If you have that much extra energy maybe you should start thinking about turning it in to work for the major good? Perhaps instead of risking your physical well being and subsequently costing us more money, you should just come down to the local politburo and ask for a labor assignment.
Come to think of it, all those right brainers out there cause thought and reflection and dissent, okay they helped us get here but soon we won't need them anymore and honestly what if they were to turn on us? Yeah, I'm thinkin art and literature isn't such a bright idea now that we're so close to achieving our goals. I'm thinkin they should probably be placed in the national labor force, it's not like we as a whole wouldn't be able to provide for their training and living. So long as we have everybody actually working and building and manufacturing and farming and not wasting food and shelter on anything as wasteful as open and creative thought provoking art, sans propaganda displays that is, we should be able to as a collective provide for every living soul.
It's all going to be so wonderful! The government is going to make it alllll better! Someday soon we won't even need money any more , we can just go to work and collect points on our "bank card" and with that we can just GET everything we NEED. Like houses for everyone! No more homeless people. God! this is going to be so cool! Just like Star Trek! Of course if we don't like anything about our lives we'll have to just suck it up and be thankful for what the collective has given us . Where we live how we live how we recreate , no longer burdensome decisions for us. I feel soo relieved and excited for all of us! This is going to be just like one long drug induced euphoric trip! WOW!

Another date to remember. With sadness.

I can only begin to express my frustration and anger. Hope isn´t hope when you´ve lost. It´s denial.
I didnt want to be a citizen of a country that did this. I wanted to be a citizen of the country everybody else on the planet wanted be in. I wanted to be a citizen of the country that was an example of the best in people. Not one more country with a set of laws based on the worst in people. It was simple math. You fools couldnt even take two minutes to figure out you CAN´T tax a country into prosperity. We would all like to help out the needy. When you want to help, itś giving, when itś taken from you with no evident choice, itś theft or at the least, coersion. I invite you to do that when you have had your income cut by taxes so much that you can no longer even afford the standard of living youve become accustomed to. When you see that they cant manage this any better than welfare medicaid medicare social security amtrack or the f*cking mail, And you begin to see that the fraud that riddles the new system is at the same level if not worse than ever before, and you get wary, maybe tired , maybe annoyed at the fact that IRS now checks every month to make sure your paying for that awsome medical coverage that will be rationed so badly that you will cry and long for these days that you now complain about as if they were heaven on earth. I hope you remember This day and how you cheered and how you felt so goood about DOING SOMETHING. How you sneered and called us hateful and racist and selfish and anything else that would help to marginalize us.
This was never about TEAMS or PARTYs This had nothing to do with any individual persons, elected or otherwise. This was about the principals of what was once and could be some day again, the country that did it right that did it different, the country that was the envy of the rest of MANKIND and the country that people strived to get to, and be in and emmulate. The country that every one else turned to for ingenuity and courage and grace.
Now we have made a fatal turn one of a few in our history but what would seem while it happens, to be a major one.
Broke,... We are. No one who knows anything about our economy will argue that. This new book of laws will only kick the injured body closer to the hole. It wont be next week it wont be tomorrow, but, if we follow this road, it WILL come. The death of all the characteristics that made us, The United States of America, The shinning beacon on the hill.... See More... See More
When we are just like everyone else, when we do it the same as everyone else, when we can no longer behave freely and set the example, who are they goin to turn to, to run to , who will be there to save them?
That is the road we have chosen to take. Some of you may believe that you have struck a blow for the common man, but what you have done is placed us all in chains. Not only have you taken one more reason for aspiration away you have take one more responsibility away. When you have done that , you have taken away one more bit of freedom. Freedom is responsibility, and I believe freedom comes from responsibility. Health is and always has been a responsibility, and now , you have given that up to a faceless brood of irresponsible greedy self serving bureaucrats and politicians. You have given them one more piece of your freedom.
